At Iron Individual, Client Appreciation Week is one of my favorite times of the year. It’s our chance to celebrate YOU—the members who show up, work hard, and make this gym the inspiring community that it is.
But appreciation isn’t just about what we, as coaches, feel for you. It’s also about you appreciating yourself—your progress, your commitment, and how far you’ve come.
It’s easy to get caught up in the next goal. We chase bigger lifts, faster times, or lower numbers on the scale. We focus on what we haven’t achieved yet rather than acknowledging the wins along the way.
I see it all the time. A member will come in frustrated, saying, “I still can’t do a strict pull-up.” But when we pause and reflect, we realize—just months ago, they couldn’t even hang from the bar. Now, they’re doing banded pull-ups with confidence. That’s progress worth celebrating.
What if, instead of constantly looking forward, we took a moment to look back?
At Iron Individual, we sit down with our members every 90 days to ask, “What are you proud of?” And honestly? It’s often hard for them to answer at first. We’re so conditioned to focus on struggles that we forget to recognize our wins. But every step forward—every rep, every class, every small habit you’ve built—adds up to something bigger.
This week, I challenge you to pause and reflect. Write it down, say it out loud, share it with a coach or friend:
👉 What’s one thing you’ve accomplished that you’re proud of?
It could be fitness-related, or it could be something in your personal or professional life. The point is to shift your focus and recognize that progress is happening—even if it’s not always obvious in the moment.
Appreciation isn’t about becoming complacent. It’s about recognizing how far you’ve come so you can keep moving forward with confidence.
So, take a deep breath. Acknowledge your hard work. Give yourself credit. And then? Keep showing up. Because in six months, a year, or even ten years, you’ll look back and be so grateful you did.
I appreciate you. I’m thankful for you. And I’m proud of you.
Now, let’s hear it: What’s one thing you’re proud of accomplishing? Drop it in the comments or tell us in the gym this week! 💪🔥
